Even with proper planning and execution of a breast implant surgery, natural changes do occur in the body – such as childbirth or breast-feeding – that can change the look and feel of the implants themselves. Breast revision surgery works to revise the implants to create the desired outcome initially sought by the patient.
The most common reasons for seeking breast revision surgery are: implant deflation, double-bubble deformity, a desire to change the size or type of implant, implant malposition or a combination of the above issues.
A breast revision is performed as a day surgery under a general anesthetic in our fully accredited facility. In addition, Dr. Harris uses a sutureless closure to ensure a less noticeable scar, which also offers a microbial barrier and allows patients to shower immediately following a surgical procedure.
