Xanthalasma is a condition where a yellowish deposit of fat forms underneath the skin, usually on the upper eyelid. These minor growths typically appear through genetic factors. Xanthalasmas can be removed through a simple procedure, either through excision or cryotherapy (local freezing with liquid nitrogen). Patients will work with Dr. Harris to determine the best removal approach.
